Features
¡@¡@Swinhoe's pheasants usually perch in the tree
at night and wander around in the woods, on forest service roads
and mountain trials in the daytime. They forage mainly for fruits,
tender leaves and insects in the early morning or at dusk. Their
breeding season is between March and June. They build their
nests on tree trunks or on the ground chiefly with dead branches,
fallen leaves, dry grass and feathers. The eggs are brown with
tints of red and 52x38mm in size averagely. Females lay 3-8
eggs at one time and are solely responsible for incubating eggs
and rearing the young. The eggs take 26-28 days to hatch.
