Introduction

¡@¡@Taiwan's aborigines had two ways of carrying things: on the back and on the head. The back carrying method had two forms: one involved a single strap attached to the goods to be carried, which was worn across the forehead and the second had two straps attached to the goods, with one put over each shoulder when carrying the goods. The Pinan had both kinds of carrying tool.Women carried things using the head strap method or the carrier wore the strap across one shoulder. Men's baskets were the two strap type.
¡@¡@This kind of basket was used by men mainly for carrying prey, like wild pig.
