Description

Introduction

General color of Extensus collectivus pale yellow, black band from apex of vertex through pro- and mesonotum, commissural suture to end of clavus, contracts at apical third of vertex and then expand to anterior. Tegmen deep brown at apex, and with black spot and strips, black spot near basal margin of 2nd apical cell, black strips along cross veins of costal cell, and a shorter stripe within 4th apical cell. Head elongate, the lateral sides parallel for a distance in front of eyes and then converging to apex; the median coronal suture through vertex. This species resembles E. latus but differs from latter by the patter of black band, and the apical structure of aedeagus. So far, the biological information and host plant of this species is still unknown. The description of this species based on the description of Huang (1989).
