Introduction

General color of Neoidioscopus chingmeius yellowish brown; eyes dark brown, vertex with brown marking on anterior margin; face milky, anteclypeus brown and postclypeus brown medially; tegmina brownish, claval area yellowish green pronotum brownish behind eyes. The mostly yellowish pronotum of N. chingmeius is somewhat similar to that of a few species of the oriental Busonia, a genus with a triangular apical cell on the fore wing and different genitalia. The coloration of N. chingmeius is totally different from that of other Taiwanese Idiocerines. So far, the biological information and host plant of this species is still unknown. The description of this species based on the description of Huang & Maldonado (1992).
