Behavior
¡@¡@Mikado pheasants are large birds. Males and
females have different body colors. Males have a dark bluish
black body and red cheeks. Their back feathers are edged in
blue. There is a white transverse line on the wings. Their tail
feathers are very long with white transverse lines. The beak
is bluish gray and the feet are greenish brown. Females are
smaller than males. They are yellowish brown all over with pale
longitudinal spots. The tail feathers have blackish brown transverse
markings. Total length: male 875mm and female 530mm. Wing length:
male 225-230mm and female 215mm. Tail length: male 500-525mm
and female 200mm. |
