¡@¡@The smocks were square shaped like those of the Atayal and did not reach the knee. They had short sleeves. Usually, on the chest and along the spine area, were embroidered patterns.Smocks worn by women had blue or black embroidered edges and narrow sleeves and often were decorated with beads and tassels.
¡@¡@Bunun smocks can be divided into two types¡Xunpatterned hessian daily wear smocks and ceremonial smocks. The embroidered patterns were mainly triangles, bent lines, diamonds and squares. Some patterns were vertical geometric patterns, the best example of which is the geometric patterns featuring the ¡§one hundred step snake¡¨ and its changes. Patterns were usually on the back of the smock. Some had three or four horizontal good luck lines.
¡@¡@Colors were mainly red, blue and black and, in recent years, golden yellow has been used to increase the garment¡¦s aesthetic appeal.
