Introduction ¡@¡@Hairpins were worn by Bunun women for ceremonies. In the past, when weaving, women needed to use a yarn arranging pin to ensure that the colored thread was evenly spread or, for convenience, put a yarn arranging pin in their hair when doing things around the house. In time, decorative hairpins were developed. Hairpins were thus worn for aesthetic effect and for practical purposes. Hairpins that were often used would become attractively shiny. |
