Behavior
¡@¡@Collared bush robins are almost the same size
as sparrows. Females and males have different body colors. Males
are black on the head, the nape of the neck and the throat.
They have white eyebrows, red shoulder feathers, and slaty-black
back and waist. The upper tail coverts are white. The upper
chest is red and connected to the shoulder feathers. The lower
chest and the sides of the belly are olive-brown. The center
of the belly and the lower tail coverts are white. The tail
feathers and the beak are black while the feet are dark brown.
Females are dark olive on the upper body and dark olive yellow
on the lower body. The color on the throat and the center of
the belly is paler. Their lower tail coverts are white. Total
length: 140mm; beak length: 9-11mm; wing length: 69-77mm; tail
length: 53-67mm. |
