¡@¡@The kinds of Amis decorative wear can be divided into headwear, earwear, neckwear, chest wear, wristwear, waistwear and footwear decorative items. Headwear mainly had decorations on the front and were tied at the back of the head. They were worn for dances in special ceremonies. Materials used include bone, tooth or hair, feathers, shells, wood, rattan, bamboo, bronze,plastic and glass.
¡@¡@According to Amis custom, decorative wear can be worn by men and women who have reached adulthood. The quantity and value of the decorative items worn indicated wealth and position. If the items worn were animal bone or tooth gained by hunting, this indicated the wearer was brave, while also being attractive. From the materials and forms of the items, the Amis 's interaction with outsiders can be estimated and the decorative items show Dutch, Han Chinese and Japanese influence.
