Manufacturing method

      

A number of square shells pieces that had been ground smooth and had a small hole on each end would be joined by hemp thread. Red thread would then be woven together with the hemp thread to make ties. Or pieces of square shaped shell with four small holes on each side and blue beads would, in turn, be joined by hemp thread. The two ends of the four threads would be tied in a bunch at the buckle.
