¡@¡@The sack "tokan" was used by Atayal men to carry things. They were also made by men. They would be used on a daily basis to carry daily use items and prey.
¡@¡@The sacks would be usually woven from hemp thread. This hemp thread was no newly spun it made from the ends of help thread that were cut off when hemp cloth was woven. When they had free time they would twist these threads ends that could no longer be spun into rope to make sacks.
¡@¡@This kind of sack was soft, occupied only a small space and could be easily carried over the tough mountain trails. This was the ideal carrying tool for Atayal men when hunting or settling.
