Function and use
¡@¡@The nets would be used by men to carry everyday things when farming, staying out overnight or to carry prey when hunting. However they would also be used to carry heads when on head hunting trips.
¡@¡@Using the nets, things would be put in the net and then the arms put through the handles and the handles placed on the shoulders with the net carried on the back. The net was soft and light and the goods carried could be stood erect. The user was free to use both hands in farming of hunting or climbing. This back carried net was the ideal carrying tool for Atayal men. |
