¡@¡@Two kinds of nets were used by the Atayal-one for carrying things and one for fishing. Both were made from hemp string. The net used for carrying stuff had a flat square bottom. The four corners each have two handles woven from hemp thread which are connected to the two opposite corners.
¡@¡@The nets in this museum were woven from hemp string mixed with red wool. The net mouth is shaped like the ¥Ð character. The two sides of the net each have two handles and the handles are woven using a diagonal pattern weaving method. |
