Introduction

¡@¡@Bunun neckwear, as with other aborigine tribes, was important for decoration. In addition to the necklaces worn for aesthetic effect, there were also necklaces worn for special ceremonies. Most neckwear was made by stringing together square shells, pieces of bone or glass beads, and was worn around the neck or hanging on the chest. Men would wear neckwear as part of their ceremonial dress and women could also.
¡@¡@Also, necklaces made by stringing together oblate beads were often part of female ceremonial dress, but could also be worn by men, too.
