Introduction ¡@¡@In traditional society men had to learn basic craft skills before the mikadafo stage that allowed them to make bamboo and rattan woven items, wooden furniture, farming tools and adornments. Usually, elders would be the craft skill teachers. ¡@¡@Hats were originally worn as protection against rain and sun. However, in Amis society hats became symbols of different status. In addition to clothes and adornments, hats were important articles for personal adornment. |
