¡@¡@Short smocks were made in the same way as longer ones. A piece of square cloth was not cut but was just stitched simply to make the smocks.Usually sleeveless smocks had embroidered colored geometric patterns. There were no buttons down the front and some had two ties that were tied across the chest.
¡@¡@Long sleeved smocks were made simply by adding sleeves to sleeveless smocks, but the patterning was different to sleeveless smocks,being mainly stripes.Some smocks had two ties down the front and on the lower hem, which were decorated with red thread tassels. White buttons were often used to decorate the front of the smock and around the sleeves.
