¡@¡@A piece of straight bamboo would be cut to a length of about 65 cm and 1.5 cm to 2 cm thickness. The bamboo ring would be about a third of the way up the bamboo strip and the upper third had to be cut to a thickness less than that of the lower two thirds. It was then bent so that the top third was curved and the bottom two thirds straight. Metal wire was then attached to the two ends. A piece of corn was attached between the wire and the bow, which made a sound when the string was plucked and vibrated.
