Echinodermata

What are echinoderms?

The Echinodermata are a group of large invertebrate animals that live in the sea, from the shore tidal zones to several thousands of meters in the depths of the ocean. However, the most common place for people to be in contact with Echinodermata is not in the sea, but on the dining room table, in restaurants, or in aquariums. The sea cucumber in Chinese food, the sea urchin of Japanese cuisine, and the starfish used to create an oceanic atmosphere are all members of the Echinodermata. They bring the scent of the sea into our lives.
